There are three methodologies of person-to-person interactions: conversational, transactional and collaborative.

Conversational interaction is an exchange of ideas and transactional interaction is transfer of a transaction entity between two or more participants, while collaborative interaction is used for a modification of a substance of collaboration, ex.: achievement of a common goal.

Interactions of collaboration are organized in such a way that the primary objective of those involved is to modify the collaboration substance from what has been non-secured and immaterial, for example, an idea, into something useful, for instance a design solution.
