4. Green Day - American Idiot
After fading from their mid-90's peak of popularity, Green Day declined from live performances to put together punk's first opera. Though the American band was nervous about their fanclub's reaction to Dearly Beloved, it turned out to be a UK rock classic climbing several charts and gaining a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of two thousand and four.
