A full-fledged feeding is one of the main conditions of a successful bird housing. The principal part of the cage birds such as parrots, canaries etc. are used to be granivorous birds. And as a result many persons think that such birds should eat only seeds. But in truth such birds vary their ration each season in natural conditions. The ration can contain animal feed, different vegetables, fruits and tree barks. That is why the variety of forages will bring your bird robust.
Lots of various shops today suggest you to purchase bulk bird seed. But you are not to feed your bird just with corn a whole year because it doesn't really correspond to different bird nutrition in nature.
From the first view you can not discover any illness after feeding your bird with the same forage for years. But with time illnesses will be shown. Scientists observe such diseases as the malfunction of molt, overweight, disorder of the reproductive function etc. All these cases are conditional on wrong feeding of birds. Also there may be many occasions of infectious illnesses because birds need vitamins and proteins in their nourishment.
